More Hustler Injury Updates

First of all our very own Ramiz Raja lookalike Amar decided to pull the only other working muscle left in his body today when he strained his leg. He went down like a ton of bricks as he ran for a quick single and soon was on his way back stating his leg felt like it had been shot. Now he has another visit to to his local pharmacy asking for another two bottles of Ferrol to heal his pain this week.

Johnno's finger injury didn't stop him from taking a drink. I guess it was to numb the pain.

Jump up jump up Amar. Actually, don't bother before you injure the other leg.

Second injury of the day was for Johnno who ended up with an Amar type finger injury when he went for a catch when fielding. The Hustler team is falling like flies as the season comes to an end. If this carries on then Satti, Devya, and Sherry will be out playing in our last game against Raiders CC in 3 weeks time.

Amar's Injury Update

As you can see by the picture below, Amar's self inflicted finger injury he succumbed to last sunday against Berbice is now growing in size.

Increased sized finger
This is the only known medical injury in the entire history of medicine and remedies that shows when Viagra is taken it swells up the wrong part of the body.

Mr Singh, we think you need to go to the doctor to get that looked at. There is an expert down Miami who is a master and specialises in massages to reduce swelling and aches and pains, who first words to you will be "Drop your pants boi".......

More drawing board discussions
"It was just another bad day at the office", was the usual comment after the game for the Hustler 2 team in their latest Round 5 game played yesterday against the younger and more energetic Berbice team.

Berbice won the toss and elected to bat first in temperatures reaching the high 80's meaning the Hustler squad would have to endure a proper baking out in the field if they didn't bowl out Berbice quickly.
Amar and Mohan bowled in tandem early on and even though they both weren't unplayable, they still managed to reduce Berbice to an average start.

Once they were off, sheer carnage ensued as the Berbice batters set about the loose bowling, sending balls dissapearing high, wide and handsome towards the Turnpike regulary.

The only bowler of note was Retesh who managed to take 3 wickets for 45 in between all the mayhem flying about to all parts of the ground. It was a real proper canecutting demonstration by the Berbice batsmen as the Hustler team went to the innings break shellshocked and in need of divine guidance from somewhere.

Hustlers went to bat and started off aggresively and were scoring at 10 an over for the first 5. Chris and Ravi had to go at 10 an over just to keep up with the required run rate but then at the 11th over Ravi was out caught in the deep for 27. Chris followed in the 12th for 64 and after that with some late hitting by Rakesh 19 and Cliff 12, the Hustler innings fizzled out to 185 all out in a comprehensive loss.

Chasing any score past 200 is not an easy task for teams in any formats of one day cricket as you have to rely on some luck, some good batting, and usually 1 out of the top order batting through the innings, which we failed at miserably on all fronts.

Well done to the young Berbice team for their win and we hope they do well in the rest of the Fall season. As for us, '' It's back to the very much overused drawing board of ours".......Bowlers need to step up and start using their heads when bowling rather than using speed for everything.

Next week we venture out to play FiveStar in round 6 at 199th street.

Bad Injury News (self inflicted)

Hustlers 2 latest injury news from yesterdays game against Berbice CC saw our very own Amar (Ramiz Raja 70's hairstyle) Singh mess up his finger from an attempted catch.

The Berbice batsman heaved across the line and skied the ball to the heavens so far up that as it came down we noticed some snow on it. Amar running back, forward, sideways, and in circles decided this was his ball to catch even though most of us knew that even getting a hand on the ball would be a miracle due to Amar's previous efforts on the cricket field with catches.

This is the ending result as he dropped the catch.......OUCH !!!!

Amar's bruk up finger.
