The Teams in contention are:
Hustlers 2
Diamond
Breakaway
D Diamond
These 4 teams have already secured their playoff position in the race to become Summer Division 2 Champions.
Who out of the 4 teams will win?
Could it be a Hustlers or Breakaway victory with both sides losing only once this season. Diamond will be looking to go back into Division 1 after being relegated last season or will it be D Diamond's turn who have never won a Championship?
Which team looks the better bet for the win?
The popular win would be Hustlers. Them boys always have fun during the game and always afterwards. They never have problems with anyone and would be my choice.
ReplyDeleteAgreed that would be the most popular winner. Head says no though. They will struggle with bowling.
DeleteHustlers batting on paper looks strong though. That's how they could be winners with their batting not bowling.
DeleteGet english out early and they will struggle. Cliff and the rest only good 5 years ago.
DeleteHustler is just not about English. Ravi Cliff Basil, Deo all can bat. This team is dangeorus and can beat anybody on their day.
DeleteMy grandma better than Hustlers
DeleteGrandma better batter fuh sure
DeleteALOO YOU NEED TO GET GRAN TO USE SHE BAT PON YAH HEAD AND KNOCK SOME SENSE TO IT.
Deletejust jokes my friend. my granma hate cricket
DeleteCliff, Ravi, Basil and co deserve another win. Them guys play with a smile on their face unlike some of the other players from the other teams.
ReplyDeleteD Diamond batting will kill any bowling. They will be champs
DeleteBreakaway got this. But only if their captain plays well. This is only a one man team. If he fail then so does the team.
ReplyDeleteDiamond all the way
DeleteDiamond under pressure to win and go back up. They think Div 2 will be a walk in the park and automatic championship for dem. I'm glad they think otherwise now.
DeleteThe BRITISH BLOKE is always good when the real game starts. I know, I used to play in the UK with him. His game face is always on when it matters. Good luck Chris and your team
ReplyDeleteI like English. He plays the game the right way. No arguments, no problems, and no issues with him. He always has time to chat to everybody and also likes to tek a drink or 5 after games with anybody. A real gentlemen amongst backyard cancutters around the league.
DeleteChris was my captain in England and was a tough man to play for but what he did was bring out the best in me and made me a better player. I like how he is tough on the pitch but when the game finishes he is always the first one to share a drink with you and the opposition. Keep up the good work Skip.
DeleteTo Neil.......Was he any good in England?
DeleteBack in the day he was a top opening batsman. No winning target would frighten him and even though he was not one of the most aggresive batsmen in our team, he was always there at the end. Plenty of times he would go about his business in his own manner and when you look up at the scoreboard you see he has reached over 50 without even breaking a sweat or us even noticing. So my answer would be a definite yes Mr Slipman. One of the best in league cricket.
ReplyDeleteI played with him when he was the only brownboy in the team. All us white guys took a likening to him as soon as he drank his first yard stick then he became one of us. Very good player and as he got older a better drinker. This guy had nerves of steel facing the overseas opening bowlers. No chirping offended him. He would just smile and continue to do his thing and usually was very successful doing it.

Raining this morning. Looks like the weather will mean no points and a number 3 position for Hustlers
ReplyDeleteHustlers got the number one spot by dishing out an old fashion cut tail on some cry babies.
