H2 enjoying a little after game refreshment. |
Having won the toss, H2 asked Unlimited to bat first and were soon found themselves in trouble losing wickets all too frequently. The 13th over break saw Unlimited score at 54 for the loss of 5 wickets.
Shortly after the resumption, the Unlimited batsmen all found the slow turning spin of returning Hustler Nick too much for them as he finished with impressive match figures of 4 for 14 off his 5 completed overs.
Terry, Retesh, Suresh and Amar all bowled well also and restricted the Unlimited score to 75 all out.
H2 reached their target for the loss of 2 wickets with Ravi 52 the top scorer in the run chase. Just in case anybody was wondering about Johnno......he is currently batting and not out still.
A vast selection for the H2 players to taste after the game. |
Match Highlights
Nick 4 for 16
Amar 2 for 10
Terry 2 for 15
Retesh 1 for 7
Ravi 52
old people dun good again
ReplyDeleteAlways bet on the old guys
ReplyDeleteDid H2 played against Breakaway or Unlimited. I see a Breakaway player in the photo.
ReplyDeleteHe is our best follower. Wherever we are playing he will follow.
DeleteGood guy to have around when we have a tough game of drinking going on.....haha
seem everyone wants a piece of the h2 action these days
ReplyDeleteHow did the ex WI skipper do yesterday? Did he play or did he get injured putting on his new jersey?
DeleteDo not bad mouth him. He will be in our allstar team in florida cup. he already locked in as captain
Deletehe is already mek allstar team? this ex player must be very good
Deletehey! Hey! It's our ex skipper + he's a professional. Do go there.
ReplyDeleteProfessional softball cricketer?
DeleteInternational
ReplyDeleteinternational back injury specialist
DeleteCome on guys....be nice.
ReplyDeleteThe man has played the game at it's highest peak in his career.
When he was the WI captain a lot of you were proud that a Guyanese was in charge.
If he plays in our league then it will be a great advert for the game in South Florida.
my money on him not playing one game this season. any takers?
DeleteBrit, your table looks good. Was that the beginning of the session or closing time?
ReplyDeleteSession was open all hours as per usual. Last man standing winner goes to.........haha
DeleteGlad to have him in our league. Great for SFSCL. What would he be playing as, batsman, bowler, keeper, allrounder?
ReplyDeleteI just hope he blends in nicely with the pretend superstars in the league we have already.
DeleteYes, he will be good in the SFSCL. Hopefully, he stays around long enough to promote the league. I guess as a batsman unless he has become a fierce peltman with express speed thesedays.....
DeletePELTING BANNED THESEDAYS. HE SHOULD LEARN ROLY POLY BOWLING. OUR GUYS SPECIALISE IN THAT ROLL STYLZ
DeleteGood win for hustlers. congratulations
ReplyDeleteenjoy the the win old men , sterner test coming ..
ReplyDeleteEvery week is a test for us.
DeleteThanks for the consideration.
hahaha...as u can see in pic dem boys hitting black label, so walk with a half gl and any game can be yours.
Deleterumor has it H2 has eight top of the line bowlers now. I guess that makes their batting light with more work for the old donks lol
ReplyDeleteThe old batting donks are too busy thesedays organising coolers, ice, and transport for their alcohol to worry about batting.
ReplyDeleteReports coming from the game say john took 17 overs to make 16 runs.....is dat tru?
DeleteLet's just say Johnno was getting some good practice in at his own pace. lol
Deletehow many runs the Brit gonna get again? Looks like Ravi already off and running
Deletemy money on ravi to score the most this time
Deletewasn;t he among the runs all the time?
DeleteI agree Ravi was always among the runs. Infact every season he is.
DeleteEven though he is not among the runs consistently as he was in previous years gone by, he more than makes up for it being among the drinks every sunday instead........haha
CCTV caught the Brit checking out new bats at a Sports Goods Store. He placed an order for one with special weight and must be wider ( not allowed) claiming because of his eyesight a wider one should compensate.
ReplyDeleteThat is very correct. The wideness of the bat matters more now than before for when I retire, I am going to use the bat as a shelf to store a 12 or 24 with ease.
Delete8 bowlman? that is too many. who getting the drop?
ReplyDeleteGood win guys!! looks like I will be doing cooler duties for a while, this line up will be hard to crack....sorry but don't do black label, into goose....Cheers, Deo
ReplyDeleteBring the Goose and we will keep it company for you while you run around the field playing in doing so letting some of us oldies sit out and rest.
DeleteJohnno was holding out for Ravi to make 50. Looks like he was taking practice at the same time too.
