SCI at the Florida Cup 2015

SCI 2015
The SCI squad tried their hardest in the Florida Cup this past weekend but came up short against 3 very good sides in their group. New York, SFSCL, and Orlando all beat the SCI squad in the 20 over competition meaning that any chance of a semi final appearance was ended in the morning of day 2.

Even though we fell well short of competing against the better teams, we still managed to play the game in the right spirit, enjoyed catching up with old friends, and more importantly were still able to play the game with a smile all weekend.

The Allstar Champions were Zameers Allstars and in the Master competition the Betterhope team gained revenge from last year by beating the SFSCL league.

    last minute add in team Vikings in the allstar comp decide to forfeit their last match because they took licks in their first 2 games.
    Is this really how florida teams operate?
    Next time the organisers should think twice before allowing any old make up team to register.

    Pitch 5 and 6 were marked too close to the boundaries. Did any exec check once the lines were drawn?
    How can the 75 yard boundary be 2 feet away from the outer boundary?

      What is wrong with the FCup.

      1. The 45 comp allow underage players to play. Make it mandatory 45 or older.
      2. Imports allowed to play for Florida but nobody is allowed to play for any other team from florida.
      3. Pitch areas are too small to play.
      4. Food served is garbage
      5. Prize money sucks
      6. Runners up teams need a cash prize
      7. Trophies look like they were bought on discount dollar store.
      8. Make official umpires know the rules.
      9. Finals day needs to start later than 11am

    good luck yaadboyz. It's a shame you starting against the mighty berbice who for some strange reason in 1st Div (formerly second div).
    I'll be there to enjoy a cold one.
